LocalStorage
Besides cookies we use a simular method of saving data on the clientside called LocalStorage. We save the following data using LocalStorage:
- ytsc_accepted_cookies: This LocalStorage value is used to determine if you have previously accepted the terms of our privacy policy.
- ytsc_channel_settings: This LocalStorage value is used to save your settings for our channel pages.
- ytsc_favorites: This LocalStorage value is used to save your favorite channels. We show these channels in our sidebar.
- ytsc_fullscreen_settings: This LocalStorage value is used to save your settings for our fullscreen pages.
- ytsc_previous_channel: This LocalStorage value is used to save the channel you visited last before you left. We save this value so we can serve the last visited channel again when you return to the application.
- ytsc_recent_channels: This LocalStorage value is used to save the 4 most recent channels you visited. We show these channels in our sidebar.
- ytsc_sidebar_active: This LocalStorage value is used to save the state the sidebar was in when the user left the application. We save this value to serve the sidebar in the same way you left it when you return.
